The Models
ContentBeamer supports five AI providers out of the box:

Smart Routing
By default, ContentBeamer routes intelligently:
- Social posts always go through Groq's Llama 3.3 70B. At $0.59 per million input tokens and 500 tokens/second inference speed, it's the most cost-effective choice for short-form content that doesn't need GPT-4o's reasoning depth.
- Everything else uses your site's default provider. Most users start with GPT-4o for the best quality, then experiment with alternatives.
You can override the model per queue item if you want to test different outputs for specific keywords.
How to Choose Your Default
Choose GPT-4o if you prioritize writing quality and your volume is moderate (under 40 articles/month). It produces the most natural, well-structured long-form content.
Choose Claude Sonnet if you publish technical content — developer docs, engineering blogs, scientific writing. Claude excels at precise, detailed explanations and handles code snippets better than most.
Choose Gemini Pro if you want a solid balance of quality and cost. It's about half the price of GPT-4o with competitive quality for most content types.
Choose GPT-4o mini if you're on a budget and publish at high volume. The quality is surprisingly good for the price — especially for content that doesn't require deep expertise.
Bring Your Own Keys
Every ContentBeamer user can connect their own API keys for any provider. This means:
- You control your costs directly
- You can use enterprise agreements with providers
- Your API usage counts toward your own rate limits and quotas
Platform keys are available on all plans for convenience, but BYOK gives you full control.
